215 Years of ILL District Experience

These four men are well known for their barbershop activities in the Illinois District.  They all attended the 64th Annual Sterling Rock Falls Show on April 25th. Though they didn’t actually sing on the show, they could have.
They have 215 years (average 53 years) of barbershop experience, all of it in Illinois.  In the photo, left to right:

Tom Woodall: 52 years. Coles County Chorus Director, Quartet Singer, Former District VP for Contest/Judging,  Retired 41 year certified judge and 1971 ABE Winner.

Ken Hines:  64 years. Former Sterling-Rock Falls Chorus Director. He was known to be directing three SPEBSQSA choruses at the same time, not to mention a couple of Sweet Adeline groups  He was a Quartet singer and 1989 ABE Winner.

Jim Stahly: 57 years. Bloomington Chapter icon, historian and long time chorus singer. He has held most every chapter office.  Jim sang tenor in the 1970 District Quartet Champs, The Ideals.

Wayne Wright:  42 years. Former Sterling-Rock Falls Chorus Director, quartet singer, District VP for Contest/Judging and retired certified judge.  He was District President in 2001 and won the ABE Award in 2005.
